About the Role

The role involves overseeing the pursuit, win, and execution of healthcare projects such as hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, behavioral health facilities, and medical office buildings. The director will manage the regional healthcare team, develop business plans, and coordinate with global practice leadership. • Lead pursuit, win, and execution of healthcare design projects across the West region. • Oversee and expand the regional healthcare engineering team and ensure client satisfaction. • Develop and implement business plans, target pursuits, and revenue goals of $1M‑$3M annually. • Build and maintain relationships with owners, architects, PM/CM firms, and general contractors. • Monitor market trends regionally and nationally to guide technical strategy. • Coordinate staffing and project pursuits with the global practice network. • Ensure technical excellence and resolve complex project issues. • Prepare and review design‑build proposals and contracts. • Create strategies to penetrate new clients and increase high‑margin work. • Manage project financials, reporting, and inter‑office communication. • Lead sales presentations and promote integrated engineering services. • Author articles, white papers, and present at industry conferences. • Recruit senior staff with market‑specific expertise and provide leadership to new hires. • Support employee resource groups and flexible paid time off.

What You Bring

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience). • Possess 12+ years of life‑science design experience, including at least 5 years in consulting. • Demonstrate 5+ years of management experience and business development success. • Maintain PE registration and thorough knowledge of MEP systems. • Exhibit strong communication, relationship‑building, and organization skills.
