About the Role
Our specialist geomorphology team of fifteen professionals collaborates closely with colleagues covering surface water, groundwater, estuaries, lakes and marine environments. The position requires coaching junior staff, coordinating multi‑discipline teams and maintaining health, safety and environmental standards throughout each project. • Re‑meandering design and construction supervision for rivers such as the Breamish (Northumberland) and Eye (Leicestershire). • Modelling and design of re‑meandering for the River Cocker in Cumbria. • Landscape‑scale river restoration and natural flood management planning in the North York Moors National Park. • Weir removals and fish‑pass installations across England, Wales and Scotland. • River‑basin‑scale restoration planning for the Environment Agency and multiple water companies. • Lead planning, modelling, and design of sustainable geomorphology and river restoration schemes. • Coordinate multi‑discipline teams and supervise contractors under CDM regulations. • Provide technical coaching to peers and junior staff. • Manage client contacts and commercial aspects of projects. • Conduct hydraulic and sediment‑transport modelling and flood‑hazard analysis.

What You Bring
We are seeking an experienced Geomorphologist and River Restoration Project Lead to join our UK Water team. The role involves high‑quality project delivery, including planning, modelling, design and supervision of sustainable geomorphology and river restoration schemes. You will work with regulators, water companies, trusts, developers and estate managers on national and international projects. • Degree in geography, physical sciences, engineering or a related field. • Proven experience in river restoration projects. • Strong project management and delivery track record. • Excellent communication, engagement and leadership skills with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
