What You Bring
The Technical Service Technician Level 1 position starts as a contingent role with the potential to become permanent. The technician supports PV corrective maintenance, repairs, third‑party repairs and repowers, and may work fully remote, hybrid, or onsite depending on project needs, with an expectation of traveling at least 50% of the year. Required qualifications are a High School Diploma or GED, advanced computer skills, and solid knowledge of protection devices, control devices, power supplies, inverters, transformers and electrical schematics. Candidates must pass exams on schematics and troubleshooting, hold a valid NFPA 70E safety certification, maintain current safety training, possess strong verbal and written communication, a valid driver’s license, and be able to work safely in extreme weather and on‑call situations. Physical demands involve frequent stooping, bending, lifting 50 lb or more, climbing, and working in harsh outdoor environments with exposure to noise, dust, electricity, and chemicals. The job requires good finger dexterity, depth perception, and the ability to work in high, exposed or difficult‑to‑access locations. • Travel up to 50% of the year and work onsite in extreme conditions. • Hold a high school diploma/GED and advanced computer operation skills. • Demonstrate knowledge of protection devices, inverters, transformers, and electrical schematics. • Pass NFPA 70E safety certification and electrical troubleshooting exams. • Possess a valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle. • Lift 50 lb or more, climb, and work in harsh weather, noisy and high‑voltage environments.
