Highway Design Engineer

About the Role

• Provide civil engineering design services, including study reports, geometric approval drawings, plans, specifications and cost estimates. • Design horizontal and vertical roadway alignments and super‑elevation diagrams. • Perform quantity calculations and develop project cost estimates. • Guide and mentor Associate Engineers to ensure timely completion of deliverables. • Create construction details, detour layouts, signage and pavement‑marking plans. • Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure integrated, compliant designs. • Support senior staff on design tasks and provide technical guidance to CAD designers, drafters and junior engineers. • Apply standard civil engineering principles and Parsons procedures to roadway projects. • Utilize CAE and CAD applications for highway design and maintain high attention to detail and analytical rigor.

What You Bring

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and at least 7 years of highway design experience. • Demonstrate proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D, MicroStation, GEOPAK and thorough knowledge of AASHTO design guidelines. • Be MME certified and possess strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal. • Exhibit strong coordination and communication abilities in a multidisciplinary environment.
