What You Bring

The Assistant Project Manager supports the planning, directing, and coordination of project activities to ensure goals are met within the prescribed timeline and budget. Responsibilities include reviewing project proposals, determining staffing and resource allocations, and handling contract administration, billing, submittal processing, bid preparation, and filing. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, email, and database software is essential, and supervisory experience is preferred. The role requires learning safety hazards and safely using relevant tools and equipment, and work will be performed in plant operations or construction jobsite settings. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 25 lb (occasionally 50 lb), perform sedentary to heavy work, operate office equipment, climb and maintain balance on steel/wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds, and navigate uneven terrain and adverse weather conditions. Vision, hearing, and comprehension are necessary for giving and receiving directions. The position also demands the ability to drive cars or trucks as needed. Mentally, the incumbent must communicate effectively with management and field workers, read, write, and perform calculations, concentrate amid distractions, make decisions, attend to detail, and demonstrate strong leadership and motivational skills.
