About the Role

This entry‑level drafting position focuses on developing expertise in a specific drawing discipline—electrical, mechanical, or civil—while operating a computer‑aided drafting (CAD) system. Work is performed under close supervision, with revisions and spot checks conducted throughout the process, and higher‑level staff resolving any problems. The incumbent is expected to grow technical skills and gradually work with greater independence. Key duties include producing diagrams, schematics, layouts, and multi‑view drawings to scale according to client requests, conducting basic mathematical and geometrical calculations, and creating detailed design drawings and specifications for civil/electrical equipment. Responsibilities also cover preparing a wide range of drawing types—such as structural, foundation, grounding, steel, wiring, panel, AC/DC, and one‑line diagrams—for substation, relay, and line design packages, as well as filing drawings, maintaining engineering data catalogs, and handling routine drawing‑room tasks. • Create scale diagrams, schematics, layouts, and multi‑view drawings per client specifications. • Perform basic mathematical, geometrical, and minor engineering calculations. • Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for civil/electrical equipment. • Produce structural, foundation, grounding, steel, wiring, panel, AC/DC, and one‑line drawings for substation and line design packages. • File drawings, maintain engineering data catalogs, and execute routine drawing‑room functions.

What You Bring

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1‑2 years of technical school training or comparable experience, and proven proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation. Strong PC/IT abilities (Word, Excel), effective communication with diverse individuals, and solid analytical and problem‑solving skills are required. Desired traits include self‑motivation, the ability to work independently and in a team, customer orientation, multitasking, and leadership of team members.
