About the Role
The Drafter/CAD Operator IV creates complete sets of complex drawings and models, incorporating multiple views, detail, and assembly drawings. Assignments involve using mathematical formulas for land contours, load capacities, and material quantities, and the operator works from sketches, models, and verbal input provided by engineers or architects. Typical tasks include drafting equipment layouts, printed circuit board designs, and final construction drawings for infrastructure such as floodgates, bridges, and water‑sewer lines. In this role, the operator will provide engineering and support services for C2 facilities, focusing on AV design, installation, and integration of mission systems. Responsibilities include reviewing and updating drawing packages, preparing pre‑installation and test documentation, cataloging software media, overseeing AV equipment installation per the IDP, and collaborating with government project managers to create and maintain CAD drawings and work instructions. • Provide engineering and support services for C2 facilities, including AV design and installation. • Review and modify existing drawing packages to meet room configurations and requirements. • Prepare pre‑installation, test, and checkout documentation for new AV equipment components. • Catalog and archive software media related to AV equipment. • Oversee installation of AV components according to the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and government directions. • Create, revise, and maintain IT and telecommunications CAD drawings and work instructions from verbal directions. • Communicate progress to managers, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.

What You Bring
The position requires at least five years of professional CAD experience and an active TS/SCI clearance, with a background check and drug test. Preferred qualifications include audio‑visual engineering experience and familiarity with M‑4720.1 and the Shore Installation Process Handbook. Work is primarily indoor and sedentary, with occasional outdoor exposure, travel, and the ability to lift up to 30 lb.
