About the Role

The role collaborates with a cross‑functional set of stakeholders across the business to improve operational buyers' functions within the Center of Excellence. It involves communicating and coordinating with schedulers for plan and execution updates, understanding material requirements, and processing requisitions to generate purchase orders for suppliers. Key responsibilities include working closely with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure on‑time delivery, managing exception messages and internal escalations, monitoring internal KPIs and supply performance, and resolving discrepancies related to delivery, quality, or claims. The position also maintains inventory levels, handles supplier invoice holds, coordinates RMA and reverse logistics, and utilizes digital SCM tools for efficiency. • Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to enhance buyer operations. • Coordinate plan and execution updates with scheduling teams. • Process material requisitions and issue purchase orders to suppliers. • Ensure on‑time material delivery to plant by managing supplier relationships. • Handle order exceptions (postponement, anticipation, cancellation) and internal escalations. • Monitor internal team KPIs and develop action plans to mitigate risks. • Resolve operational discrepancies and address supplier delivery, claim, and quality issues. • Work with logistics partners to meet incoterm requirements for material shipments. • Evaluate supply‑on‑time delivery (SOTD) and implement corrective actions. • Manage supplier invoices and resolve payment holds promptly. • Maintain optimal inventory levels in coordination with analysts and schedulers. • Coordinate RMA processes and reverse logistics for defective parts. • Support phase‑in/phase‑out activities and ECN management with engineering and product teams. • Maintain purchasing data (price, lead time, MOQ, sourcing) with data health teams. • Leverage digital SCM tools to maximize operational efficiency. • Resolve DC and plant put‑away issues promptly.

What You Bring

Candidates should have 5‑7 years of experience in materials planning or supply chain management, a graduate degree with a master's in a relevant field (Materials, Production, Operations Management) and strong communication and interpersonal skills. A solid functional knowledge of materials management, replenishment planning, MRP, and inventory performance metrics such as forecasting accuracy and days on hand is required.
