What You Bring
We are looking for candidates studying physics, engineering or any STEM discipline, including joint honours with business or economics. Some experience in Python or Java is helpful, and you must be willing to travel between sites and work flexibly, typically three days a week on‑site under a hybrid model. Applicants must demonstrate open‑minded, curious and agile attitudes, adhere to safety‑first behaviours, and obtain a Security Check clearance; only UK nationals or MoD‑approved dual nationals are eligible. • Currently pursuing a degree in physics, engineering or any STEM field (joint honours acceptable). • Basic coding ability in Python or Java preferred. • Flexible to travel between locations and work three on‑site days per week under hybrid arrangements. • Demonstrate open‑minded, curious, agile approach and commitment to safety‑first behaviours. • Eligible for a UK Security Check clearance (UK national or MoD‑approved dual nationality).

The Engineering and Technology Summer Internship runs for 10 weeks in Summer 2026, is based in Derby and offers a pro‑rated salary of £23,600 plus a £500 joining bonus.
