About the Role
The Energy Performance Assurance Consultant ensures a positive client experience by developing and managing deliverables, operating daily project plans, troubleshooting HVAC control issues, and serving as the primary client contact. This role is critical to the success of performance guarantees and issue resolution. • Diagnose complex system problems for clients. • Lead, manage, and delegate client tasks to deliver excellence and value. • Coordinate information flow between client and Energy Bureau, ensuring clear communication of goals, objectives, and schedules. • Ensure timely and accurate savings reporting for assigned projects. • Verify performance and sustained operation of Energy Conservation Measures. • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and technicians to develop problem‑resolution recommendations. • Perform on‑site service as needed. • Design monitoring plans to remotely monitor BAS systems. • Assist clients with BAS operations, software, and networking issues. • Provide energy‑management guidance to clients. • Specify and estimate hardware/software additions, change orders, and solutions. • Deliver ongoing client training, both formal and informal. • Provide excellent internal and external customer service.

What You Bring
The position requires occasional travel to job sites (40–60% travel) and physical activities such as navigating uneven surfaces, bending, lifting moderate items, and transporting equipment like laptops and tools. Employees may work in office settings, outdoor weather conditions, mechanical rooms, confined spaces, and noisy environments. • Hold a Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree (preferred) with at least 3 years of customer‑facing service experience. • Possess Building Automation System expertise, including operator knowledge, drawings, sequences, and troubleshooting. • Apply strong project‑management skills. • Demonstrate excellent time‑management and organizational abilities. • Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). • Use task‑management software effectively. • Exhibit strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • Possess LEED certification (a plus). • Work effectively in a team environment.

Benefits
This U.S.-based position offers a total compensation range of $70,000 to $99,000 per year, encompassing base salary and short‑term incentive. The role is based in the greater Lenexa, Kansas area.
