About the Role
The role involves field‑based inspection of residential solar installations to ensure they meet design specifications, code requirements, and safety standards. Technicians collect precise measurements, assess roof and electrical conditions, and verify that completed systems are ready for final authority‑having jurisdiction (AHJ) or utility approval. Technicians follow daily schedules that may span multiple sites, proactively self‑scheduling work while communicating any access issues or delays to internal teams. Participation in safety briefings, training sessions, and field huddles is required, and company‑approved vehicles are used to travel between job locations. • Collect measurements, photographs, and structural/electrical data at customer homes for solar design. • Assess roof conditions, electrical panels, and property features using standardized tools and protocols. • Perform attic inspections, climb ladders, and work on rooftops as required. • Submit all survey data promptly through mobile field tools. • Conduct post‑installation inspection visits to verify readiness for final AHJ or utility approval. • Ensure installed systems match approved plans and comply with workmanship, code, and safety standards. • Coordinate with install teams, project managers, AHJ, and customers to resolve inspection‑related issues. • Document inspection readiness with photos, checklists, and notes. • Follow daily and intraday schedules across multiple locations, proactively self‑scheduling jobs. • Communicate access issues, delays, or discrepancies clearly to internal teams. • Maintain tools and safety equipment in proper working condition and operate company‑approved vehicles between sites. • Participate in safety briefings, training, and field team huddles; remain flexible for occasional weekends, extended shifts, or holidays.

What You Bring
Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of field construction experience, preferably in photovoltaic design or installation. They must be comfortable working on roofs, ladders, and in confined spaces, possess a valid driver’s license, be 21 years or older, and be able to lift up to 50 lb.

Compensation ranges from $25.09 to $33.45 per hour, with decisions not based on salary history.
