About the Role
The operator is responsible for safely operating all departmental machinery to prepare pieces for final assembly, following work instructions and departmental requirements. Duties include running production, moving parts, deburring, grinding, polishing, inspecting finished pieces for conformance, documenting production data and labor transactions, and reporting machine malfunctions or non‑conforming parts. The employee must communicate and cooperate with coworkers to maintain quality, efficiency, and safety, keep machines and work areas clean, adhere to safety procedures, and attend work consistently, including overtime as needed. • Operate departmental machinery safely and productively per work instructions. • Run production, move parts, and perform deburring, grinding, and polishing. • Inspect finished pieces for conformance to specifications. • Document production data, labor transactions, and identification tags. • Identify and report machine malfunctions or non‑conforming parts. • Communicate and cooperate with team to maintain quality, efficiency, and safety. • Maintain clean machines and work area; follow safety procedures. • Read and interpret blueprints; use micrometers, calipers, and basic measuring tools. • Operate spot welders, back benders, rollers; lift/push/pull up to 40 lb.

What You Bring
Qualifications include basic computer skills and the ability to read and interpret blueprints, as well as proficiency with measuring devices such as micrometers and calipers. Physical demands involve standing 8–10 hours daily, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 40 lb, and using equipment like spot welders, back benders, and rollers while frequently walking, twisting, bending, reaching, and performing fine manipulation.
