About the Role
• Develop and execute strategies to expand generator and power‑system sales. • Identify and target new commercial, industrial, and utility customers throughout Texas. • Build and maintain relationships with EPCs, contractors, engineers, distributors, and end users. • Manage a sales pipeline from outreach through proposal support to closing. • Conduct site visits, needs assessments, and preliminary load or project evaluations. • Collaborate with engineering, service, and project teams to deliver accurate proposals. • Monitor generator technologies, industry trends, regulations, and pricing. • Represent Mustang Cat at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings. • Achieve or exceed revenue, territory, and growth targets.

What You Bring
Mustang Cat’s Power Systems Division is seeking an experienced Business Development professional to grow its generator and power‑generation business across Texas. The role involves identifying new opportunities, cultivating strong customer relationships, and driving revenue growth across commercial, industrial, and utility markets. Candidates must have at least five years of experience in power generation, standby generators, CHP, microgrids or related solutions, and a solid understanding of generator sizing, controls, switchgear, and power‑distribution infrastructure. Strong communication, negotiation, and the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences are essential, while experience with major OEMs and established industry relationships is strongly preferred. • Minimum 5 years experience in power generation, standby generators, CHP, microgrids or related solutions. • Proven business development or technical sales success in the power‑generation sector. • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer‑relationship skills. • Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences. • Prefer experience with major generator OEMs (Cat, Cummins, Kohler, MTU) and established industry relationships. • Ability to read electrical one‑lines, spec sheets, and technical drawings.
