About the Role
The Polymer Center Sort Line Operator oversees and operates the Sort Line process at the Polymer Center. This role ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards and maintains deep knowledge of Sort Line equipment. The operator is responsible for efficient operation and basic troubleshooting of the process. The operator removes unsafe conditions, executes the manufacturing plan for their shift, and performs pre‑ and post‑operation equipment inspections. They continuously monitor production, waste material, and equipment condition to minimize downtime and ensure product quality. Minor service tasks are performed and documented, with complex issues escalated to leads or maintenance. The operator follows all safety policies, represents the company positively, and supports team engagement while helping achieve division budget goals. • Operate Sort Line equipment safely, troubleshoot minor issues, and ensure continuous production. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑shift equipment inspections and complete equipment condition reports. • Monitor product quality and waste streams, removing unsafe conditions and addressing non‑conforming material. • Perform minor equipment maintenance, documenting work and escalating complex repairs to leads or maintenance. • Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies while fostering a collaborative team environment.
