About the Role
In this MEP role, you will foster client relationships, support annual planning, lead pursuits, and oversee multidisciplinary project teams across a range of hotel, leisure, and entertainment projects. Leading project teams in marketing and securing project wins is a core focus. • Develop and nurture strong client relationships from pre‑positioning through project execution and post‑completion. • Maintain an active, visible presence in the Hotel, Leisure & Entertainment sector to drive growth and sales. • Identify new market opportunities and lead strategy for client and pursuit capture planning. • Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning and advancement of regional market initiatives. • Support Area Managers and Project Principals in contract preparation, negotiation, and award. • Serve as Project Director or Project Principal as needed on assignments. • Lead concurrent multidisciplinary project teams, directing planning, coordination, and monitoring. • Provide client oversight on technical quality, financial performance, and schedule adherence. • Maintain client relations after project completion. • Partner with production managers to strengthen core project teams.

What You Bring
The London practice is seeking an Associate or Associate Director for the Hotel, Leisure & Entertainment market, offering opportunities for career advancement within a fully employee‑owned organization. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or a related field. • Possess at least 8 years of design consultancy experience in mechanical or electrical roles within the hotel, leisure, and entertainment sector. • Demonstrate a proven track record in business development, relationship building, and delivering operational results. • Experience managing client relationships, program pursuits, and staff development, including recruiting and career growth. • Ability to lead diverse teams and collaborate with regional and market sector directors. • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to HDR values and employee‑owned culture.
