About the Role
At WM, the Operations Specialist for Collections provides advanced clerical and administrative support to departmental managers and assists in coordinating all aspects of daily operations. The Operations Specialist assists in troubleshooting and resolving safety, service, and operational issues, maintains and distributes department‑related information daily, communicates with other supervisors and managers about operational issues, maintains the office, and acts as the KRONOS proxy for all daily updates for drivers and helpers. They use Microsoft Suite and additional software tools to manage tasks such as procurement, time and attendance, safety incidents, and contract labor, assist with processing payments and other financial tasks as necessary, support the implementation of operational projects, communicate with customers about service issues, and communicate with employees about scheduling and work assignments. The role primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copy machines. • Troubleshoot and resolve safety, service, and operational issues. • Maintain and distribute departmental information daily. • Serve as KRONOS proxy for driver and helper updates. • Manage procurement, time/attendance, safety incidents, and contract labor using Microsoft Suite. • Assist with payment processing and other financial tasks. • Support implementation of operational projects. • Communicate service issues to customers and scheduling updates to employees.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, no prior work experience, being at least 18 years of age, and legal eligibility to work in the country where the position is located.
