Job Highlights
About the Role
• Read and understand contract documents, drawings, specifications, and safety measures. • Perform survey work under Resident Engineer guidance. • Develop new data from photogrammetric records and establish primary control points. • Record measurements, rod readings, and calculations accurately in field books. • Verify accuracy of survey data and calculations conducted at survey sites. • Coordinate work priorities and schedules with the Contractor’s surveyor. • Complete traverse closures and bench circuits to check all work. • Report discrepancies or technical problems to the team leader. • Perform joint measurements of completed work for payment verification. • Check completed work for conformance to line and grade with the assigned inspector. • Conduct regular checks of the Contractor’s setting out to verify proper execution. • Maintain equipment in proper condition and perform frequent calibration checks. • Keep accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed. • Coordinate findings with engineering, architectural personnel, clients, and others. • Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and terrain characteristics. • Prepare or supervise preparation of data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys. • Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys. • Plan and conduct ground surveys to establish baselines, elevations, and geodetic measurements. • Apply and implement all safety, quality controls, and procedures on site. • Monitor health and safety of construction works and report violations.
