About the Role
The role is a senior position responsible for overseeing the regional and national billing team across the UK. Reporting to the National Service Director, the incumbent will set strategic direction, ensure accuracy and compliance of billing processes, and drive continuous improvement while leading a small internal team. Key duties include managing the end‑to‑end billing function, improving and automating processes, establishing and maintaining SOPs and international billing policies, and monitoring performance against KPIs. The role also requires regular interaction with clients, senior managers and technical teams to resolve queries, ensure onboarding alignment, and support audits. • Lead the UK billing function, set strategic goals and operational priorities. • Drive process improvements and automation to streamline billing operations. • Develop and implement billing SOPs, international policies, procedures and best practices. • Monitor performance metrics, improve processes and deliver KPI results to the National Service Director. • Liaise with clients, senior management and technical teams to resolve billing queries and support onboarding. • Ensure compliance with global VAT laws, international invoicing requirements and financial controls. • Reduce Work in Progress by collaborating with National Accounts stakeholders to accelerate billing opportunities. • Partner with finance, compliance and legal teams to support audits and internal reporting. • Oversee the monthly billing cycle and maintain clear communication with UK team and stakeholders. • Directly manage five Team Leads.

What You Bring
Successful candidates will have proven experience in a comparable billing leadership role, preferably within fire or engineering sectors, and a strong understanding of international regulatory compliance, VAT and account rules. Experience with multiple billing platforms and a proactive, service‑focused attitude are essential. • Possess comprehensive experience in a similar billing leadership role within fire or engineering sectors. • Demonstrate knowledge of regulatory compliance, international legal billing standards, VAT and account rules. • Experience developing and leading transformational billing functions. • Proficient with multiple billing platforms, preferably EvoMx and Corrigo. • Exhibit proactive approach and commitment to delivering excellent internal and external customer service. • 36.5‑hour work week (Mon‑Thu 08:45‑16:40, Fri 08:45‑16:00) and potential DBS check.
