About the Role

The Growth team is looking for a Capture Manager to own qualified opportunities and lead the capture and proposal phases of KBR’s Growth Lifecycle. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Growth, the role will develop winning strategies, build high‑performing teams and ensure each pursuit reflects KBR’s standards of excellence and innovation. The position is permanent full‑time and can be based in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth. Key responsibilities include creating compelling value propositions, competitive intelligence portfolios and teaming approaches, guiding multidisciplinary capture teams through every phase, and working closely with the Proposal Management team to produce compliant, persuasive proposals. The manager will also nurture relationships with internal and external partners, manage risk and governance, and ensure adherence to all client and internal requirements. • Develop winning capture strategies, value propositions, competitive intelligence and teaming approaches. • Lead multidisciplinary capture teams, coordinating subject matter experts, engineers, finance and business development. • Oversee proposal development with the Proposal Management team to ensure compliance and customer focus. • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, customers and industry partners. • Manage risk, governance and adherence to client and internal requirements.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate is a strategic, results‑driven professional with proven capture or bid management experience in the Australian Defence industry. They must demonstrate strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills, a solid understanding of Defence and government acquisition processes, and the ability to manage complex projects and budgets. Australian citizenship and the ability to hold (or a history of holding) an NV1 security clearance are required. Applicants must be eligible for an AGSVA security clearance; shortlisting occurs as applications are received and may close early. Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a psychometric assessment. KBR does not accept unsolicited resumes from recruitment agencies. • Proven capture or bid management experience within the Australian Defence sector. • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and teamwork skills. • Deep knowledge of Defence/Government acquisition processes and capability development. • Ability to manage complex projects, budgets and proposal writing. • Australian citizenship with current or prior NV1 security clearance (or ability to obtain).
