About the Role
The Business Operations Analyst Intern will support business development operations for the Defense & Intelligence sector, focusing on sales data analysis, CRM data integrity, and liaison work across functional teams. The position is based in the DC Metro area, though location is preferred, not mandatory. The intern will manage daily CRM data entry, develop and enforce data quality protocols, conduct audits, and work closely with business development teams to keep opportunity records current. They will also create and distribute customized reports and dashboards using Salesforce and PowerBI, build forecasting models, and analyze win/loss trends while ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards. • Input and manage daily CRM data, ensuring accuracy and completeness. • Develop, enforce, and audit data entry, validation, and maintenance protocols. • Remove duplicates and maintain data consistency across the system. • Collaborate with business development teams to update opportunity records and capture status. • Create, maintain, and distribute customized Salesforce and PowerBI reports and dashboards. • Build forecasting models and pipeline tracking mechanisms to support sales efforts. • Perform win/loss analysis and proposal success rate insights from CRM data. • Ensure reporting complies with internal policies and government contract regulations. • Acquire data from primary and secondary sources to support accurate forecasting. • Implement and monitor data quality controls, correcting inaccuracies and inconsistencies. • Work with cross‑functional teams to improve data flow processes and enhance data quality. • Maintain a regular data‑cleansing schedule to preserve long‑term CRM integrity. • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
