About the Role
The Process Chief Engineer will lead the Process Engineering team within the Industrial & Generation department, focusing on refinery, NGL and petrochemical processes, overseeing high‑quality deliverables, supporting business development, and shaping the department’s strategic vision through hiring and continuous‑improvement initiatives. • Supervise and mentor all process engineering staff, promoting safety training and open dialogue. • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate corporate policies and ensure understanding. • Align staffing levels with project requirements, adjust workloads, and coordinate hiring and onboarding of new engineers. • Keep team members billable, monitor timesheets, and set sold‑time targets. • Identify skill gaps, plan training or recruitment actions with I&G leadership, and manage over‑capacity situations. • Provide career development through performance reviews, mentorship, and identification of training opportunities. • Ensure compliance with AECOM QA/QC standards, lead detailed checking, and assist in change‑order quantification. • Capture lessons learned, recommend corrective actions, and recognize exceptional performance. • Support business development by shaping execution plans, drafting detailed scopes of work, and developing task‑based budgets for proposals.

What You Bring
• Minimum qualification: BA/BS plus 10 years of industrial, refinery or power‑facility engineering experience. • Preferred: 5 + years supervising teams, PE licensure, and expertise with Aspen/HYSYS, HAZOPs, and 3D modeling tools (Plant 3D, Navisworks). • Demonstrated track record leading technical work on refinery/NGL projects, full EPC/Design‑Build contracts, and resource planning.

This hybrid role is based in Houston, Texas, with a compensation range of $190,000‑$235,000; relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are not available.
