About the Role

The Portfolio Manager will ensure early‑stage detailed designs are completed across multidisciplinary engineering, while integrating environmental, safety and sustainability considerations. They will also work to grow the business by engaging both new and existing clients and will lead a skilled team, providing opportunities for professional development. • Lead multidisciplinary engineering design projects across water, wastewater, treatment, chemical dosing, hydrogen, and desalination. • Oversee early‑stage detailed design delivery while ensuring environmental, safety, and sustainability standards. • Manage project cost, schedule, risk, and change to deliver on time, within budget, and to quality requirements. • Supervise and support staff wellbeing, fostering a collaborative culture aligned with KBR values. • Develop marketing strategies and prepare proposals, including nationally significant bids. • Ensure compliance with KBR Integrated Management System, HSE, and quality policies.

KBR’s Water business has expanded rapidly, prompting the search for an experienced Portfolio Manager to oversee mechanical, process, and civil design projects. The role will drive the delivery of large‑scale programs in water, wastewater, treatment plants, chemical dosing, hydrogen and desalination, aiming to create lasting positive impacts for customers and communities. Ideal candidates possess strong project‑management expertise in cost, schedule, risk and change control, together with a tertiary qualification in engineering or a related field and significant industry experience. They must be capable of handling large, complex programmes with multiple stakeholders in challenging environments and excel at leading and communicating with teams. • Hold an engineering or related degree with extensive project management experience in large, complex programs. • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead teams and engage stakeholders.
