About the Role

As the Strategic Business Planning Program Manager, you will partner with the Manager of Strategic Business Planning Initiatives to lead Port‑wide strategic planning, goal alignment, KPI development, and assess potential disruptions to Port operations and related industries. You will facilitate realignments of goal‑setting and business‑planning processes, serve as a strategic advisor to business divisions, and develop SWOT analyses and strategic planning cadences. In addition, you will create and update Annual Planning and Reporting documents for the Century Agenda, and coordinate Port events, including quarterly disruption workshops. You will gather and edit data and narratives for annual reports and executive memos, conduct landscape analyses of emerging technologies, and support the delivery and development of strategic planning courses. • Lead Port‑wide strategic planning, goal alignment, KPI development, and disruption assessment. • Facilitate improvements to goal‑setting and business‑planning processes. • Act as strategic advisor to business divisions and develop SWOT analyses and planning cadences. • Create and update Annual Planning and Reporting documents for the Century Agenda. • Plan and coordinate Port events, including quarterly disruption workshops. • Collect, edit, and publish data and narratives for annual reports and executive communications. • Conduct landscape analysis of regional and global technological advances affecting Port business. • Assist in delivering and designing strategic planning classes and coursework.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate brings at least five years of experience in facilitation, research, and strategic planning across organizational levels, and preferably holds a bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Policy, or Public Administration. Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to present and research effectively are essential. The role also requires a detail‑oriented, multitasking mindset and a steadfast commitment to equity and the Port’s shared values. • Five years of facilitation, research, and strategic planning experience across organizational levels. • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Policy, or Public Administration (preferred). • Strong qualitative and quantitative data analysis abilities; adaptable to changing goals. • Excellent written and verbal communication, including editing and copyediting. • Effective presentation, interpersonal, and research skills. • Detail‑oriented with ability to multitask and maintain high attention to detail.
