About the Role
Sr Business Management Staff Manager – Business Operations (Valves Stream Leader) at Baker Hughes is responsible for driving customer solutions and closing deals within a global energy technology company. The role supports the company’s purpose of making energy safer, cleaner and more efficient, and works closely with sales teams and global customers to build loyalty and sales growth. As the Value Stream Leader, you will manage the full life‑cycle of special new equipment, overseeing order entry, project management, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing operations and people aspects for the Becker and Mooney brands. You will provide strategic leadership, align manufacturing capacity with revenue goals, coach staff to achieve key performance indicators, and own the plant’s P&L, budgets and forecasts. Collaboration with functional leaders and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, capital investment, and product launches are also core duties. • Oversee end‑to‑end management of new equipment projects from order entry through remittance. • Align manufacturing capacity with sales revenue targets in partnership with channel partners. • Lead and coach staff to meet KPIs such as safety, quality, cost, delivery, NPS and inventory. • Own the plant Value Stream P&L, budgets, forecasts and drive corrective actions. • Analyze financial statements, perform gap analyses and implement improvement plans. • Collaborate with functional leaders (Quality, HR, EHS, Materials, Sourcing, Engineering) to execute strategic initiatives. • Drive manufacturing process improvements, asset utilization and capital investment projects. • Develop capital budgets and long‑range facility master plans to support product growth. • Support product launches and new‑product introduction initiatives. • Champion Lean practices and maintain a continuous‑improvement project pipeline. • Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO and other certification standards. • Foster ethical business practices and model company core values.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree, has at least five years of commercial customer‑facing experience and five years of leadership experience, and possesses strong communication and analytical skills. A deep understanding of lean principles, ability to interpret financial reports, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and manufacturing or mechanical background are required. Desired traits include self‑starter mindset, cross‑functional project management, problem‑solving ability and influence across senior leadership. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of customer‑facing and leadership experience. • Demonstrate strong communication, lean‑methodology knowledge and financial acumen. • Possess manufacturing experience, analytical skills and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
