About the Role
The GIS Analyst role will work on diverse projects across defence, renewable energy, environment, transport and infrastructure, delivering spatial science and location intelligence services that support GHD’s financial performance, strategic growth, risk management and core values. The position involves collaborating with the Location Intelligence team and regional leads to meet business goals, supporting pipeline development, and contributing to the growth of LI capabilities such as workflow automation, solution implementation, and management of spatial databases and web‑mapping environments. • Develop and deliver location intelligence products meeting compliance and quality standards. • Proactively engage clients to uncover insights and support business development targets. • Collaborate with the LI team and regional leads to achieve GHD’s KPIs and business goals. • Enhance LI capabilities through workflow design, automation, solution implementation, and spatial database/web‑mapping administration. • Lead proposal preparation, including data collation, writing, and technical documentation. • Manage technical projects, bids, and proposal processes. • Build and maintain client relationships; obtain Australian Defence Force baseline clearance.

What You Bring
Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills, solid experience with GIS platforms like ESRI, FME and QGIS, and a background in technical project management, bid and proposal preparation, as well as client relationship management. Ability to obtain Australian Defence Force baseline clearance is required, and knowledge of Python, Power BI or remote sensing is considered an advantage. • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. • Operate GIS tools such as ESRI, FME, and QGIS proficiently. • Utilize Python, Power BI, or remote sensing knowledge (advantage).
