About the Role

The Safety Training Manager is responsible for delivering training content to all new‑hire employees, managing and coordinating all training activities across the company. This role facilitates programs that teach safety priorities, customer expectations, and what it takes to be a successful employee at Republic Services. Key duties include training new and existing staff, auditing training results, preparing progress reports, and providing feedback for program improvements. The manager also supports ongoing development for field trainers, coordinates with local management on development plans, and conducts driver evaluations to ensure compliance with DOT and state certifications. • Deliver and coordinate new‑hire safety training for all employees • Facilitate ongoing training for existing staff and field trainers • Audit training outcomes and generate improvement reports • Develop and update training materials and multimedia aids • Conduct driver evaluations and re‑evaluations for certifications • Travel up to 50 % of the time to support regional training needs • Provide leadership, clear communication, and effective time management
