About the Role
In this role you will lead the technical delivery of Power/Energy Monitoring and Control System projects across data centre, utilities, grid, renewables and life‑sciences sectors. You will guide design, integration, testing, factory acceptance, installation and commissioning while supporting junior engineers and engaging project stakeholders. You will act as the primary technical point of contact, ensuring solutions align with scope, budget and schedule, and maintaining strong relationships with customers, partners and suppliers. The position sits within a dynamic, supportive team where people are central to success. • Lead technical design and execution for complex system architectures across design, integration, testing, FAT, installation, and commissioning stages. • Ensure full alignment with project scope, specifications, and customer expectations. • Support the development of technical documentation including Method Statements and Risk Assessments. • Work closely with Project Managers and Operations to ensure successful project delivery. • Lead site commissioning activities acting as key customer point of contact on site. • Identify project risks and opportunities, and contribute to effective mitigation strategies. • Participate in post project reviews and lessons learned activities. • Act as a primary technical interface with customers and third parties. • Coach and support Project Technical Engineers within your area of expertise. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and delivery quality.

What You Bring
The Senior Technical Engineer – Digital Power position is based in Dublin, Ireland. Schneider Electric seeks an experienced professional with a background in Electrical Controls and a full EU/Irish driving licence. The ideal candidate holds a Level 7 (or higher) degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, has proven experience in electrical controls, monitoring or building management systems, and is familiar with PLC, SCADA or EPMS concepts. Strong project delivery experience, ability to read MV/LV single‑line diagrams, proficiency in Microsoft Office and a customer‑focused mindset are required, as is a valid EU/Irish driver’s licence. • Degree (Level 7 or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Controls, or a related discipline. • Previous work experience in Electrical Controls, Electrical Monitoring, or Building Management Systems. • Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, or EPMS design, programming, or installation (advantage). • Ability to read and interpret MV/LV Electrical Distribution Single Line Diagrams. • Experience with project delivery and an understanding of project engineering principles. • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools. • Customer-focused with an understanding of Schneider Electric product offerings (advantage). • Valid EU/Irish Driver’s Licence required.
