About the Role
The Estimator (Entry‑Level to Mid‑Level) supports bidding on earthwork, paving, underground utilities and structural projects for transit, civil infrastructure and highways. Responsibilities include preparing take‑offs, soliciting quotes, developing cost estimates, and assisting in bid close‑out while collaborating with large pursuit teams on design‑build and CM‑at‑Risk delivery methods. • Develop competency in construction software, spreadsheets, bid management, and online plan rooms. • Perform quantity take‑offs and solicit vendor quotes. • Attend pre‑bid meetings and conduct site walks. • Support estimating by taking off work and creating self‑perform estimates for subcontracted tasks. • Obtain firm quotes from material suppliers, equipment providers, and subcontractors. • Draft scope and proposal letters for bid and negotiated projects. • Assist with field engineering duties such as submittals and RFIs. • Occasionally stoop, kneel, bend, lift, push, or pull objects; use hands frequently. • Comply with all safety standards and procedures.

What You Bring
• Learn Agtek, On Screen Take‑Off, and progress to HCSS usage. • Hold a four‑year engineering degree or equivalent technical training/experience. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. • Estimator I: 1‑3 years experience; Estimator II: 2‑5 years experience. • Preferred: LEED accreditation or willingness to obtain. • Frequent use of telephone, computer, email, and other electronic devices for communication.
