About the Role
The Manager, Strategy & Transformation partners with functional leaders to plan, support, and execute strategic initiatives that drive change across Republic Services. This role discovers, documents, and designs effective processes and procedures that align with departmental strategic direction, while ensuring projects receive the necessary support and resources. Key focus areas include performance improvement, project planning and management, financial and operational analysis, market and industry research, and change management. The manager works closely with cross‑functional leaders to identify solutions to the company’s toughest challenges, assess resource requirements, balance priorities, and document decisions. The manager supports the Business Transformation team and functional owners throughout the lifecycle of strategic actions— from solicitation of organizational input and project planning to financial impact assessment and implementation support. Responsibilities also encompass research and analysis of industry trends, competitive intelligence, risk, profitability, and financial modeling, culminating in written and verbal recommendations to stakeholders. • Support business transformation by identifying, developing, and executing strategic actions. • Collaborate with cross‑functional leaders to solve complex challenges and provide internal consulting. • Conduct financial and operational impact assessments and manage project planning. • Perform market, industry, and competitive analysis to inform long‑term strategy. • Present written and verbal recommendations to senior stakeholders. • Lead change‑management initiatives using established methodologies. • Deliver high‑quality financial analysis and modeling to anticipate risks. • Manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities with limited supervision.

What You Bring
Candidates must bring top‑tier strategy consulting or general management experience, preferably in waste, recycling, transportation, or other heavy‑industrial settings, along with at least three years of project management, change methodology, and business consulting experience. Required skills include strong financial analysis, project management, change‑management expertise, advanced proficiency in MS Office, and exceptional written and verbal communication.
