About the Role

• Develop and maintain the fleet reliability growth model and generate meaningful reports. • Identify key performance drivers and prioritize reliability improvement areas. • Support Sub‑Systems Engineers in implementing reliability‑driven system changes. • Collaborate with Sub‑Systems Engineers to review and optimise the fleet’s maintenance regime. • Conduct Weibull and other data analyses to assess component performance against design and TLS requirements. • Lead cross‑functional technical teams in rail design, build, or maintenance.

What You Bring

The role requires a minimum of five years’ experience managing the performance of heavy‑rail passenger fleets, expertise in reliability and data analysis, and a deep understanding of rolling‑stock electrical and mechanical systems. Knowledge of engineering processes—including failure reporting, investigations and engineering change—asset management, maintenance optimisation, Reliability‑Centred Maintenance (RCM), FMECA (or equivalent), and overhauls or mid‑life upgrades of rolling stock is essential. • Minimum 5 years experience managing heavy‑rail passenger fleet performance. • Expert knowledge of reliability, data analysis, and rolling‑stock electrical/mechanical systems. • Understanding of engineering processes, failure reporting, investigations, and engineering change. • Experience with asset management, maintenance optimisation and Reliability‑Centred Maintenance (RCM). • Familiarity with FMECA or equivalent design analysis methods. • Knowledge of rolling‑stock overhauls and mid‑life upgrades.
