Design, develop, test, and support space suit systems for low Earth orbit missions.

About the Role
• Design, develop, test, and analyze space suit systems using solid/fluid mechanics and heat transfer principles. • Conduct engineering design evaluations and produce documentation for design reviews. • Procure, assemble, and test advanced prototypes to validate performance and inform design refinements. • Develop hardware requirements and verify designs meet them through validation programs. • Support hardware production, troubleshoot anomalies, and implement corrective actions. • Perform trade studies and data analysis to recommend improvements. • Coordinate with fabrication and manufacturing teams to ensure proper execution of mechanical designs. • Manage multiple technical issues simultaneously and deliver integrated solutions.

What You Bring
KBR expects all employees to be team players who communicate effectively, follow safety and quality policies, adhere to company processes, and demonstrate strong organization and time‑management skills. • Hold a B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering (or related field). • Possess 5–10 years of relevant experience and advanced CAD proficiency. • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external customers. • Preferred: hands‑on experience with production‑grade manufacturing equipment and life‑critical component design for extreme environments. • Preferred: experience with qualification and acceptance testing.
