About the Role

The HVAC Chiller Technician – Traveling Data Center Technician role supports mission‑critical cooling infrastructure in data centers, handling installations, repairs, and maintenance while serving as the trusted face of Carrier to customers. • Travel up to 50% to perform startup, commissioning, warranty, and service work on data center chillers. • Perform diagnostic tests, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions, and execute regularly scheduled maintenance on heating and cooling units. • Review and interpret regulatory requirements and technical documents, including blueprints and diagrams. • Cultivate strong customer relationships and ensure timely escalation of issues for resolution when necessary. • Prioritize safety by adhering to licensing requirements, operating equipment safely, recognizing HVAC‑related hazards, completing safety training, and implementing effective safety measures.

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or GED. • EPA Refrigerant Certification. • 5+ years commercial HVAC experience, including 5+ years with air‑cooled/centrifugal chillers. • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lb, climb ladders, work on rooftops, and maintain required physical positions for extended periods. • Valid driver’s license and insurability per company policy. • OSHA 30 Certification (preferred). • Basic understanding of building automation controls (BOMAC) (preferred). • Data center experience (preferred). • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (preferred). • Knowledge of ServiceMax (preferred).
