About the Role
The Fabrication Technician, Powder Coat role involves loading and unloading material onto the powder‑coat line, operating the powder‑coat booth, and applying powder to parts according to customer specifications. The technician also inspects work to verify conformance with quality requirements and upholds high quality and production standards. Daily tasks include following travel documents, blueprints, and oral or written instructions to set up and run the powder‑coat line, maintaining job progress, and communicating any concerns. The technician proactively seeks process‑improvement opportunities and conducts root‑cause analysis for quality or production issues. Quality responsibilities encompass measuring finished parts with tape measures or calipers, performing visual inspections, identifying non‑conforming parts, and troubleshooting errors. The role also requires cross‑training and standing in for other functions when needed. • Load/unload materials on the powder‑coat line. • Operate booth and apply powder per spec. • Perform quality inspections and ensure compliance. • Follow blueprints and work orders to set up equipment. • Track job progress and report issues. • Drive process improvements and conduct root‑cause analyses. • Measure parts with tape measures and calipers; inspect visually. • Diagnose and correct non‑conforming parts. • Provide cross‑training and fill in for other roles. • Uphold safety standards, use PPE, and execute 5S duties.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, the ability to work in the United States without sponsorship, and residence within 50 miles of Greenwood, SC (military exemptions apply).
