About the Role

The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining core backend components, writing clean Java code, and turning project requirements into functional features. You will test, debug, and optimize applications for performance and scalability, and work closely with product owners and scrum masters to meet business needs. Continuous improvement through code reviews, technical discussions, and staying current with emerging technologies is a key expectation. • Design, develop, and maintain core backend components within Scrum teams. • Write clean, efficient, well-documented Java code following best practices. • Translate requirements into technical designs and functional features. • Test, debug, and optimize applications for performance, stability, and scalability. • Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and stakeholders to deliver business-focused solutions. • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and documentation efforts. • Troubleshoot and enhance existing software. • Keep abreast of emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends. • Build RESTful web services using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, or Jersey. • Work with relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) databases. • Utilize build and CI/CD tools such as Ant, Gradle, Docker, and Jenkins. • Manage source code with Git or similar version-control systems. • Conduct unit and automation testing with JUnit, Cucumber, and JMeter.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field and have at least two years of experience with commercial cloud services and Java development. Proficiency with Spring, Jersey, RESTful services, databases, CI/CD tools, and version control is required, as is experience in unit and automation testing. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across time zones are essential. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field. • Possess 2+ years of experience with commercial cloud services and application development. • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to collaborate across different time zones.
