Assist in control system design, testing, and commissioning for industrial projects.

About the Role
Key duties include ensuring safety, health, environmental, and quality compliance; attending customer site meetings; validating and marking up P&IDs; developing control narratives, I/O lists, and network layouts; and supporting functional acceptance testing and commissioning. Rotations will let you work on FEED deliverables, assist senior designers with AutoCAD/Visio network designs, and perform field verifications to update as‑built documentation. • Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality assurance plans. • Attend customer site meetings and conduct field walk‑downs, marking up P&IDs. • Develop and support control narratives, I/O lists, and network layouts. • Assist in functional acceptance testing and commissioning activities. • Collaborate with internal and external engineers to deliver stage‑gate documentation. • Create and update project documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness. • Utilize AutoCAD/Visio for control system network design. • Communicate effectively with leadership, designers, and document control teams.

What You Bring
As a CSE intern you will gain hands‑on experience in control systems engineering while contributing real deliverables to customer projects. The role provides exposure to daily engineering tasks, site walk‑downs, and collaboration with senior engineers, giving you a clear view of a professional CSE career. You should be pursuing a four‑year engineering degree (chemical, electrical, or mechanical preferred) and have completed sophomore‑level coursework. Required skills include strong proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD, excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities; programming exposure and familiarity with Emerson DeltaV or Honeywell Experion are a plus. • Apply engineering fundamentals while gaining hands‑on experience in FEED and site commissioning. • Demonstrate strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills; proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD; programming and control platform exposure (DeltaV, Experion) are a plus.
