Job Highlights
About the Role
The Quality Inspector inspects products on all production lines to confirm the proper function of switchboards and electrical components, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, safety, and quality requirements. Inspections are recorded on applicable checklists, and mating structures are examined to guarantee complete and problem‑free field installations. The inspector verifies that any released revisions are incorporated into the product and that all documentation reflects the current revision, discarding previous versions. Non‑conformances are documented, communicated, and rework is verified to support problem‑solving and continuous improvement. The role includes serving as an informal trainer for production associates, providing assistance on complex tasks and product requirements that may not be precisely defined, such as barrier placement. Strong communication and positive relationships are emphasized to support job objectives and teamwork. The position requires self‑directed work and the ability to perform physical tasks such as reaching overhead, pulling, pushing, and climbing ladders. • Inspect switchboards and electrical components on all production lines for functionality, safety, and quality compliance. • Identify and document product non-conformances using applicable checklists and test reports. • Verify that revisions and customer specifications are correctly incorporated into products and documentation. • Communicate design errors to front‑end personnel, obtain revisions, and ensure required rework is completed. • Serve as an informal trainer, assisting production associates with complex tasks and fostering teamwork. • Perform physical tasks such as reaching overhead, pulling, pushing, and climbing ladders as needed.
