Service Engineer

About the Role

The Service Engineer repairs and maintains diesel‑powered equipment such as pumps and generators in both depot and on‑site environments, with a strong focus on health and safety compliance. The position also requires maintaining a clean, organised workspace to ensure equipment meets safety and quality standards. • Service and repair diesel‑powered pumps and generators in depot and field settings • Perform major overhauls and refurbishments of end‑of‑life equipment • Diagnose faults and execute repairs to minimise equipment downtime • Collaborate with the service team, hire controller, and foreman for smooth operations • Ensure continuous compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company policies • Maintain a clean and organised working environment meeting safety and quality standards • Travel to customer sites and participate in an on‑call rota

What You Bring

• Demonstrate mechanical experience with plant equipment, pumps, generators, and diesel engines • Hold relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, M&E apprenticeship or equivalent • Possess a full UK driving licence • Utilise a fully equipped company van for commuting and work duties
