The role focuses on managing background check (BGC) operations, ensuring compliance with global requirements, coordinating with stakeholders, and maintaining accurate reporting and documentation. • Collect and validate candidate documents for India and global background checks. • Initiate BGC requests with internal teams or external verification vendors. • Track verification progress and follow up with stakeholders for clarifications or missing documents. • Maintain accurate BGC records in HR systems and trackers. • Escalate discrepancies or adverse findings as per defined protocols. • Manage audit activities related to BGC. • Write SOPs and policies for BGC processes. • Transition and launch BGC operations across countries. • Ensure compliance with country‑specific BGC requirements and company guidelines. • Support audit readiness by maintaining complete and accurate documentation. • Follow data privacy norms when handling confidential employee information. • Liaise with candidates, HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, and onboarding teams. • Interact with global verification vendors to ensure SLAs are met. • Provide regular status updates to hiring teams. • Update BGC dashboards, trackers, and closure reports. • Highlight delays or risk cases proactively. • Assist in improving process documentation and standard operating procedures. • Handle confidential information sensitively. • Maintain a customer‑service orientation.
