About the Role

• Disassemble, assemble, and install hydraulic components. • Diagnose failures using logical troubleshooting. • Determine part reusability per Caterpillar guidelines. • Order correct replacement parts. • Clean, repair, recondition, and maintain equipment. • Test, measure, and adjust engine and machine systems. • Prepare, inspect, and operate machines before delivery. • Stay current with tooling, technologies, and systems. • Produce inspection, appraisal, and service reports accurately and promptly. • Maintain professional appearance according to company policy. • Work flexible hours, including after‑hours, to meet customer needs.

What You Bring

Milton CAT is seeking an experienced Component Rebuild Technician to work in our Earthmoving shop. The technician will disassemble and assemble hydraulic cylinders for rebuild or repair, and must understand internal and external parts of hydraulic components, engine and drivetrain systems, and proper testing procedures. • High school diploma or GED. • Minimum three years experience as an Earthmoving shop technician on heavy equipment. • Experience with CAT or similar heavy equipment. • Knowledge of heavy‑equipment service and maintenance, including transmissions, engines, and hydraulics. • Proficiency with computer software such as Word and Excel. • Strong problem‑solving, math, and detail‑orientation skills. • Ability to lift over 50 lb and work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Valid driver’s license and tool inventory maintenance. • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment. • Associate’s degree in a related field (preferred).
