About the Role
The Facilities Engineer conducts site inspections to assess infrastructure condition and identify maintenance needs. They develop budgets for maintenance and renovation projects, estimating costs for materials, labor, and equipment, and monitor expenses to stay within budget. Additionally, they analyze and recommend cost‑effective measures related to civil works. The role involves planning, implementing, and maintaining building and facility infrastructure, collaborating with architects and contractors to design structural systems such as foundations, walls, roofs, and other load‑bearing elements. Responsibilities also include contributing to internal transportation systems like roads, bridges, and walkways, ensuring existing infrastructure remains functional through integrity assessments and repairs, and managing energy consumption, safety processes, and environmental compliance. The engineer analyzes operational processes and resource allocation, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. What You Bring
Required technical competencies include knowledge of project management, estimation, and QA/QC, with proficiency in AutoCAD and the ability to read engineering drawings. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, possess at least six years of relevant industry experience—including a minimum of four years in the UAE facilities‑management sector—and preferably have FMP certification. Essential skills include strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency with CAD software, knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, attention to detail, and solid project‑management capabilities. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. • Possess at least six years of relevant industry experience, with a minimum of four years in UAE facilities management. • FMP certification preferred. • Proficient in AutoCAD and other CAD software. • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Knowledge of facilities‑management regulations, codes, and standards. • Exhibit attention to detail and solid project‑management abilities.
