About the Role

The Assistant Manager – Soft Services Work Dynamics role focuses on prioritising facilities needs and delivering high‑quality housekeeping services while coordinating with site vendors for landscaping, pest control, cleaning, and related tasks. The role also supports the team on assigned projects and provides backup as required. Key responsibilities include managing daily property rounds, maintaining and sharing performance reports, organising vendor meetings, handling customer queries, mentoring vendor staff, improving procedures for cost‑effective service delivery, and overseeing documentation of policies. Additional duties involve planning and assigning work, supervising landscaping, briefing staff on duties, implementing checklists, ensuring staff presentation and cleaning standards, keeping storage areas orderly, and collecting customer feedback. • Take daily property rounds and coordinate cleaning issue resolution. • Maintain daily and monthly reports (DMR, MMR) and share with managers and clients. • Schedule weekly vendor meetings to discuss operational issues. • Prepare monthly attendance summaries for payroll. • Investigate and resolve customer queries; escalate when necessary. • Develop and mentor new and subordinate vendor staff. • Improve and monitor procedures for cost‑effective, efficient services. • Document standard policies and procedures. • Plan, schedule, inspect, and assign work to supervisors and teams. • Manage landscaping and gardening activities. • Brief staff regularly on duties, areas, and special instructions. • Create and implement checklists according to prescribed formats. • Ensure housekeeping staff maintain a professional appearance. • Monitor cleaning standards to preserve surface longevity. • Keep janitor closets and storage areas neat and orderly. • Collect customer feedback and assess satisfaction levels.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a degree or diploma in hotel or building management, with 3–5 years of facilities management experience, strong knowledge of occupational safety, and proven team‑management skills. Excellent customer service focus, strong PC literacy, analytical ability, and experience with continuous improvement and client reporting are also required.
