About the Role

The Electrician is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance, as well as routine and on‑demand services on the mechanical and electrical equipment and systems of an assigned facility. Work must be carried out in accordance with established processes, internal and external requirements, and relevant environmental, health, safety and fire‑protection standards. • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment and systems. • Follow established processes, practices, and legislative licensing requirements. • Conduct regular monitoring, inspections, and walkthroughs of facility systems. • Identify deficiencies, document observations, and recommend repairs or enhancements. • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain building mechanical and electrical systems. • Respond to routine and on‑demand service requests and emergency call‑outs. • Record work and resolution data in the service maintenance management database. • Track, monitor, and report maintenance status, obtaining approvals as needed. • Assist in implementing the preventative maintenance (PM) program and maintain documentation. • Participate in facility‑related projects while ensuring compliance with EHS and fire‑protection policies. • Maintain and service assigned tools, arranging repairs or replacements. • Submit expenditures promptly and support tenant/customer satisfaction.

What You Bring

The role requires availability for shift work, on‑call/standby duty and emergency call‑outs, and the use of personal protective equipment. The Electrician must maintain all assigned tools, arrange for repairs or replacements, and submit expenditures in a timely manner while supporting tenant and customer satisfaction. Candidates need at least four years of facility operations and maintenance experience, a high school diploma, and trade training or certification. Essential skills include advanced ability to follow maintenance processes, repair mechanical and electrical building systems, troubleshoot equipment issues, and apply current fire, life, safety and building codes. A Journeyman or Master Electrician licence (CCQ member) and a valid driver’s licence are required; preferred credentials include Facilities Technician Certification and BOMI Systems Maintenance Technician or Administrator certifications.
