About the Role
Key responsibilities include installing, overhauling, repairing, and adjusting air‑conditioning, heating and related equipment, as well as diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues. The role also involves routine monitoring, inspections, and preventive‑maintenance activities to maintain facility uptime, conducting walkthroughs, and maintaining accurate tool inventories. Additionally, the incumbent provides client observations, supports facility‑related projects, and ensures all work follows environmental, health, safety, and fire‑protection standards. • Install, overhaul, repair, and adjust HVAC equipment and components. • Diagnose and troubleshoot heating, cooling, and related systems. • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, responding to service requests. • Conduct facility walkthroughs and monitor mechanical/electrical systems. • Maintain accurate inventory of tools and arrange repairs or replacements. • Provide client observations, recommendations, and support facility projects. • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, fire protection, and security policies. • Submit expenditures promptly and complete other assigned duties. • Maintain a valid driver's license and meet enhanced security clearance requirements.

What You Bring
The HVAC Journeyperson or Apprentice Roving holds a valid provincial Certificate of Qualification and is responsible for operating, maintaining, and servicing mechanical systems at an assigned facility. Duties include performing preventative and corrective maintenance, responding to service requests, and ensuring work complies with company policies, safety, security and fire protection requirements. Applicants must hold a college diploma or certification and be a licensed HVAC/Refrigeration Technician or registered apprentice, with a valid HVAC Certificate of Qualification (e.g., 313A in Ontario). Preferred credentials include a Gasfitter II license, refrigeration license, and assets such as BES Operation Class 1, Facilities Technician Certification, or Systems Maintenance Technician certification. Strong troubleshooting, communication, mentoring, and client‑service skills are required, along with the ability to work shifts, be on‑call, wear PPE, and meet enhanced security clearance and driver’s‑license requirements. • Hold a valid HVAC Certificate of Qualification or be a registered apprentice. • Possess relevant licenses such as Gasfitter II and refrigeration certification. • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting, communication, and mentoring abilities. • Work shifts, be available for on‑call/emergency call‑outs, and wear required PPE.
