About the Role
The SAE is responsible for prospecting and closing sales to new customers in order to achieve budgeted sales goals. They develop and implement effective selling strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability. In addition, they manage existing business relationships, employing strong negotiation to preserve business, secure contracts, and meet price targets. The role “saves, secures, and converts” by handling all customer cancellation requests, providing ongoing contract education, and obtaining commitments during face‑to‑face interactions. All escalations for customer service within the territory are resolved by the SAE. Key duties include maintaining and growing billable value by selling new waste streams, services, and products to current and prospective customers. The SAE initiates B2B sales relationships, manages a robust sales pipeline, and develops prospect plans. They also meet proactive account‑retention call goals, propose compliant solutions, and collaborate with Area Sales Managers, Plant Managers, and Brokerage Account Managers to resolve issues. • Prospect and close new B2B accounts to meet or exceed sales targets. • Retain and grow existing customer relationships, handling cancellations and contract renewals. • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and develop prospect development plans. • Sell new waste streams, services, and products to current and prospective clients. • Collaborate with Area Sales Managers, Plant Managers, and Brokerage Account Managers to resolve customer issues. • Prepare complex proposals, optimize equipment leasing, and ensure regulatory compliance. • Achieve sales call activity goals and maintain high customer satisfaction.

What You Bring
The Senior Account Executive (SAE) will cover a territory around Savannah, GA, with occasional visits to Hilton Head, SC, and must reside in the area. This hybrid role requires periodic visits to the local office. The position combines hunter and farmer responsibilities, focusing on new business acquisition and retention of existing accounts. Candidates should be aggressive hunters who enjoy cold‑calling and prospecting, and prior B2B field sales experience is preferred. Qualifications require a bachelor’s degree (or a high school diploma plus four years of relevant experience). Candidates must have at least four years of direct B2B sales experience, including cold‑calling and appointment setting.
