About the Role

The Operational Technologies/Digital Factory Engineer will develop, lead, and plan manufacturing engineering initiatives that drive significant gains in productivity, product cost, quality, and equipment maintenance. The role involves a broad range of engineering and technical tasks, applying engineering knowledge to create solutions for complex product, material, process, test, and design challenges. A major focus is on managing Industry 4.0 projects—including digital core, IIoT, additive manufacturing, and systems integration—at the Cleveland, TN plant. The engineer will develop problem-solving approaches, guide machine connectivity, support business case development, train personnel, and act as the local SME for Industry 4.0 tools while maintaining project budgets and timelines. • Lead manufacturing engineering initiatives to boost productivity, reduce cost, improve quality, and maintain plant equipment. • Apply engineering knowledge to solve complex problems related to products, materials, processes, testing, and design. • Manage Industry 4.0 projects (Digital core, IIoT, additive manufacturing, systems integration) at the Cleveland, TN plant, ensuring objectives and timelines are met. • Develop problem‑solving approaches for processes, tooling, equipment, facilities, and cost using Industry 4.0 methodologies. • Guide plant teams on machine connectivity and data acquisition activities. • Assist manufacturing teams in creating, submitting, and approving business cases for Industry 4.0 opportunities. • Train key plant personnel on deployed Industry 4.0 tools and technologies to achieve adoption and improvement goals. • Build expertise in Industry 4.0 tools to serve as a local subject‑matter expert. • Maintain project expenses and capital expenditures within established budgets and schedules. • Support development of technical, engineering, and support talent. • Provide technical expertise for automation and manufacturing processes.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Engineering, Mechatronics, or a technical science, and have at least three years of experience leading software or digital projects in a manufacturing setting. Required skills include knowledge of MRP systems, expert MS Office proficiency, and working experience with Power BI, Power Apps, and other digital platforms.
