About the Role
Helpers construct, fabricate, install, and dismantle form work and fixtures made of metal, wood, and other accessories. • Build wooden structures (stairs, concrete forms, scaffolds, tunnel/sewer supports, temporary shelters) per blueprints or instructions. • Examine plans to determine material needs and dimensions. • Select, load, and transport materials to the work site. • Layout forms or fixtures using lines and grades. • Measure, mark, and cut boards, timbers, or plywood with hand/power tools. • Verify structure accuracy using transit, plumb bob, square, and level. • Use carpentry hand tools (hammers, levels, squares, screwdrivers, wrenches, saws, drills, pry bars). • Nail cleats to construct concrete-supporting forms. • Brace forms with timbers, tie rods, and anchor bolts for piers, footings, and walls. • Erect framework and install sub‑flooring. • Assemble timbers for trestles and cofferdams. • Erect scaffolding and install ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways. • Construct and align form panels and chutes for concrete and grout pours. • Install prefabricated window frames, doors, weather stripping, trim, and hardware. • Apply sheathing to walls and roofs; set and brace anchor bolts. • Perform minor maintenance and cleaning tasks. • Operate electric and pneumatic tools. • Rig materials when needed. • Follow all safety and project rules. • Work to precise accuracy standards and measure against defined criteria.

What You Bring
Helpers (including helpers with 0 to 42 months experience) are preferred to have at least six months of documented field experience in their chosen craft discipline. They must be able to read and interpret instructions and documentation. Job responsibilities and requirements vary based on months of experience and assigned job step. A high school diploma or equivalent, combined with relevant experience, is typically required. Candidates should possess knowledge of common concepts, practices, and procedures in the field, rely on established guidelines, and work under immediate supervision without exercising independent judgment. They report to a supervisor or manager. • Apply basic math and compare dimensions of objects. • Interpret flat drawings to visualize three‑dimensional objects. • Follow oral and written instructions; work at heights confidently.
