About the Role
We’re seeking a Water Serviceperson to support operations and maintenance across local water networks. The role is hands‑on and varied, focusing on keeping critical infrastructure operating safely and reliably. You will respond to network faults, perform routine maintenance and reinstatement works, engage with customers and stakeholders, and participate in a standby and call‑out roster for incident and emergency response.

What You Bring
Working closely with supervisors, team members, subcontractors and council representatives, you will ensure work meets contract requirements and Downer’s standard operating procedures. Accurate field reporting, strong communication and a commitment to Zero Harm are essential. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, takes ownership of outcomes and values teamwork, safety and service delivery. • Experience maintaining urban and rural water reticulation networks • Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills • Confidence dealing with the public and responding to service requests • Ability to accurately complete field reporting using mobile devices • Safety‑first mindset aligned with Zero Harm • Full Class 1 licence (Class 2, RTW, traffic management and confined spaces training advantageous) • Self‑motivated, reliable and comfortable working in a field‑based role supporting the community
