About the Role
The Buyer will manage purchase orders, drive material cost savings through negotiations, monitor supply chain activity to prevent shortages, and work closely with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice issues. They will also maintain accurate purchasing data, communicate with project managers and field service representatives, build strong supplier relationships, and use procurement tools to analyze and improve supplier performance. • Manage the purchase order process to ensure timely deliveries that meet Service Location requirements. • Drive material cost savings for Services by leveraging supplier negotiations and engaging with internal stakeholders. • Proactively monitor supply chain activity to identify and resolve potential material shortages; expedite and closely manage critical orders. • Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to resolve invoice discrepancies. • Maintain purchasing databases to ensure accurate system data (e.g., pricing, commodity codes) and share relevant information with commodity managers, supplier leaders, and other buyers. • Communicate effectively with Project Managers (PMs) and Field Service Representatives (FSRs) across regions. • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. • Use procurement tools to analyze supplier performance KPIs and work with suppliers to implement improvements.

What You Bring
Successful candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, have at least two years of procurement experience in a manufacturing or service environment, and possess strong organizational, time‑management, and interpersonal skills. A proactive, solution‑oriented mindset, the ability to work independently, and proficiency in SMS, Avetta, SAP, and Microsoft Office are required. Candidates must be willing to travel up to 25% (mainly to the U.S.) and, for Quebec‑based applicants, have functional French.

Benefits
The compensation range for this full‑time role is CAD 64,000‑96,000, including base pay and short‑term incentive, with pay determined by performance, skills, experience, and education.
