About the Role
The Assistant Community Manager supervises daily operations and financial functions of a housing community under the Community Manager’s direction. Responsibilities include rent collection, cash‑flow optimization, personnel oversight, leasing, maintenance, administration, and risk management, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety, and fair‑housing guidelines. • Post and reconcile all resident payments, manage receivables, and handle bad debt, evictions, and month‑end closings. • Oversee on‑site staff hiring, training, coaching, and performance compliance with company policies. • Implement leasing strategies, market the community, process lease documentation, and drive resident retention programs. • Supervise maintenance service requests, property inspections, and ensure timely repairs and resource procurement. • Maintain accurate resident records, conduct unit walk‑throughs, and process move‑out charges and security deposits.

What You Bring
• Minimum 1 year experience with affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, etc.) preferred; related certifications a plus. • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree or two years housing industry experience preferred; basic computer and Fair Housing knowledge needed. • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb, climbing ladders, and working overtime, weekends, or in adverse conditions.

Benefits
