About the Role
• Mentor junior staff and supervise team performance. • Coordinate departmental efforts, budgets, and project schedules with GDL, APM, and field supervisors. • Review staff field efforts weekly to ensure utilization and meet billing goals. • Prepare proposals, expressions of interest, and work authorizations. • Maintain knowledge of discipline practices, scientific principles, regulatory programs, and field standards. • Organize project documentation and ensure compliance with company standards. • Represent the firm at client/agency meetings and deliver strong oral and written communication. • Work with billing managers to develop invoices and identify cross‑selling opportunities. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing schedules, budgets, and QC/QA plans. • Collaborate with municipalities to obtain permits and certifications. • Review contracts, assess project feasibility, and dispatch personnel accordingly. • Generate new business by maintaining client relationships, networking, and coordinating with other divisions. • Participate in marketing initiatives and industry groups related to engineering, construction, excavation, and utilities. • Set performance goals, provide feedback, and recommend disciplinary actions as needed. • Identify training opportunities to improve staff effectiveness.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree preferred with strong SUE background. • Minimum 5 years experience at Assistant PM or PM level in SUE. • Knowledge of NYSDOT 18.2.1, 18.3.1, 18.6.1 and ASCE 38; familiarity with CGA, PHMSA, APWA standards. • Valid driver’s license preferred; OSHA 10 & 30 hour certification. • Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and prepare SUE proposals and deliverables. • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. • Experience delivering technical presentations and client education. • Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities. • Proficiency with MS Office, BlueBeam, Field Aware, and related software. • Detail‑oriented with capability to teach technical skills to others.
